My new scrapbook room

After a month of taking everything out of my scrapbook room and redoing it. I am finally done, and I love it. I made the little birds on the silhouette of course. They are actually in a frame. The shelf on the wall is the Making Memories embellishment center. In my white cabinet I have used the vertical storage by cropper hopper. (We sell it at the page and the embellishment center.) I love having everything at my fingertips. I can get more done. If you looked closely their is a Cricut expression. What can I say we are now selling them and I am a tool junky. (soon I will have layouts with both machines. Onto other news we now have the Silhouette SD. The Scrapbook Page is selling it for $229.99 with a free 6 month download card and glass etch. I have cut with it and it works like the old one. I have not saved anything yet. In case you were wandering I will still be teaching classes on the original silhouette. It may be on the shelf but I have not abandoned it.

The New Silhoutte SD is arriving

Today is the day the silhouette SD arrives. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I know it works a lot like the old one. But what can I say I am a tool junky and love a new tool. The above layout is from my husbands company Christmas party. They had a white elephant exchange I cut my elephant out of white paper and inked him. I then cut out wreath on the Jingle portfolio cd. I sized it on the elephant when I had him on the screen so it looks right. I will soon be posting pictures of my scrapbook room makeover. I used vinyl on my walls and it turned out cute. I now feel like I can be creative in my space.

Half price subsricption for the silhouette

Wow, two post in one day that's a record for me. If you have been on the Quickutz website you know that you can now get a subscription for your silhouette downloads. If you use the code Scrapbook Page (you must have the space) you can get 1/2 price on any subscription. However, you can't use your existing download cards to pay for it. Have a great evening.

Missing your 50 original images

If you have updated your software and you lost your 50 original images you can get them back by doing the following. Also, you received some new bonus images for your efforts. Brian told me this is the last little problem they are finding. If you have loaded the Silhouette software but did not find the original 50 images in your library, we would direct you to do the following:1. Go to the following link: http://www.quickutz.com/support/original50.zip2. Select to save the file to C:\Program Files\ROBO Master\Templates3. Once saved, right-click on your Start menu and select "Explore"4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ROBO Master\Templates5. Right-click on the "original50.zip" file and select to "Extract" the contents to C:\Program Files\ROBO Master\Templates6. Save the following file: http://www.quickutz.com/support/50Images.zip7. Locate where you saved this file and right-click to "Extract" the contents to C:\Program Files\ROBO Master\QKView\Thumbnail Once you have done this, and the file is unzipped to the correct directory, the original 50 images in the Silhouette software should be available in your library. Well, I am off to scrapbook have a good evening.

The New Silhouette Download

As many of you may have figured out the new download takes about 6 - 9 hours. Quickutz is closed today so I can't get any answers until tom. It is also taking away the photos of the portfolio cd's on some customers libraries. I will post tomorrow as soon as I have an answer to these silhouette questions. However, on a positive note the welding and matting is awesome and super easy to use. Have a good day!

Summer Layout

I am finally posting a layout. Our nephew always wants to go boat when he is at Poppie's house. For this layout I used the Summer portfolio cd. It has the shadows for the letters. For the wave I stretched it and pulled it longer. I then used stickles to make the fireworks. If you have not already updated your software it is now available. It took mine 9 and 1/2 hours to load. However, the word welding is so super easy. You can also weld your images. This would have been nice when we made the penguin he would have feet. Hope you had a good Valentines Day. Well, I am off to teach my 102 class. I will add some more layouts soon.

Valentines Cards

So my nieces decided to make valentines of their favorite things. So we used the silhouette to make an 8 inch penguin and then we goosebumped the heart with the revolution swirls die and then we used googly eyes. She is very pleased with it.(Besides googly eyes make everyone happy.)
My other niece decided to use the sizzix Hello kitty die. Hers is a treat box we attached them to Embellishment Essentials boxes by Cropper Hopper. She then filled them with Skittles. They would also make super cute party favors. I promise that soon I will add layouts. I finally figured out where my imported photos are. Yes, I am computer challenged.
