I am back to blogging

I know I have not blogged in 3 years. A lot has happened  in that time. I am now a mom to a toddler. Who keeps me very busy. I don't know how working moms do it.
As most of  you know The Scrapbook Page is closing next month. The owners have decided to retire. I am happy for them they deserve it. I have been teaching classes on the cameo and original silhouettes I will continue to teach private classes and am working on group classes at creativecottagekc.com /. Also you can contact me at classesbymo@yahoo.com to set a private class. My friend Heather has a great blog scrapsbyheather.com. Heather has great tutorials on using images besides what you find in the store.
I will post some layouts later this week. I have been scrap booking just not blogging. Have a good day.

Print and Cut

I am asked a lot how to use the print and cut feature on the Silhouette. Nichol Magourik is a designer for the Silhouette and post a lot of great ideas. She has a tutorial on her blog for the print and cut. This weekend I will be doing a make and take from 2-4 at The Scrapbook Page featuring the Rhinestones. Hope you have a good day.

Heat Transfer

So yes I am still here. I have been crazy busy. I have been cleaning out 12 years of accumulation out of our house, and it feels good. I have to say I love the new heat transfer and the rhinestones from Silhouette. So, I keep getting asked how do you do all this cool stuff so I added a new class.
Silhouette 104 Take your Silhouette to the next level. Learn how to design and create your own gifts using Silhouette's funnest toys - rhinestones, heat transfer, print and cut, vinyl and etching. The Silhouette class you've been begging for is here! Oooh - this will be sooo much fun!!!**Prerequisite: Silhouette 101 & 102**Thurs - June 10th - 630-830pm Fee: $20.00.
I am very excited about this new class. Also, to let you know I will be taking a leave of absence from teaching from September to January. So, if you have been wanting to take my classes or need to come in for some extra help after you have taken my classes, you need to do so soon.
So, hopefully I will not wait so long to blog next time.

We have a vinyl obsession

If you have been into the store then you know we have an obsession with vinyl. So do our customers. I have included the ornaments we did in the store. Also, included is our customer Kathleen's Car. She changes it often. Also, in January we will start carrying yellow, orange and purple vinyl. We also begin to carry 12 inch wide vinyl as well. Have a good day and sorry it's been a while since I last blogged. I almost have my entry done on what blade cap and depth to use for different paper types.

A few layouts(Disney of course)

Someday I will finish our Disney albums. It is taking longer because I am making two at once. I decided rather than trying to keep our books in day order I would go with park order.
For Sea World I used the lighthouse from the Silhouette and went to www.mydiecuts.com and found Shamu. Since I did it on the Silhouette I was able to lay them on the lght house and make them the correct size on he first try. For the entrance to Magic kingdom I used the Cricut expressions to make the big ears. For the entrance to Animal Kingdom I used the Cricut. I know I am a traitor. I used the tree on Stretch you imagination. For Epcot center I just bought the reminisce paper that all ready looks like the entrance and just cut it with my circle cutter. For Hollywood Studios I used the party hat on the Silhouette and stretched it tall removed the ball on top. I then layed the stars and moon on the hat so they fit perfectly. On the opposite page i put a map of each park that I printed off of the computer. On the Disney site you can actually made customized maps of exactly what you did and the restaurants you ate at. I have more pics to post later. Have a good evening sorry it took me so long.
